Who: Annie Sawyer, open
What: Annie is one Troubled Spectre
When: Wednesday night
Where: Random wanderings around the hospital
Rating: Low, for Moping
Annie hadn't felt right since her conversation with Hal. She certainly didn't feel comfortable watching Mitchell or George because her thoughts always went on a tailspin in her mind only to finally coalesce on one single word.
When?
Just when would they be taken away from her? Mitchell might already be dead, but he was THERE. And Hal had said that he'd never met Mitchell since he'd died before Hal had got there... Barry of all bloody places. That could only mean that Mitchell had died died - as a vampire - and that meant somebody had destroyed him. She wished she'd carried on asking Hal questions, found out just who it was had done it. But then she didn't want to know after all. It was none of her business and, if she did know... what could she do about it?
And as for George. Who in their right mind would want to harm George? Tully? Surely not. He might have been short several marbles, but would a father kill his son out of spite? Dramatic, maybe, but then he sort of was George's father. Maybe vampires did it, but they needed inviting into the house and there was no way any of them would be so stupid as to invite just anyone in. It must have been outside. George had died away from home, away from the people who loved him... that was very possibly even more unfair than the thought of Mitchell dying although she didn't know why. Or maybe they both died together... perhaps they were saving her, or saving some of the neighbours, or some random kids... or even each other...
She didn't know why, but she hoped that was the case. If she had to lose them both then she really wished that they'd be able to go together.
She wasn't sure if they suspected she had something on her mind. She was pretty shit at acting like everything was normal, she knew... but she'd managed to keep busy, or pretend she was busy. Conversations had been kept to a minimum on her part, and she'd taken to pacing the corridors of the hospital rather than pacing the floor of their suite. That would have been just a little too obvious, even for her.
Plus, she found the corridors oddly peaceful at night time. Sure, there were people around, but not many. Most of the security people concentrated on the outside at night time and only one or two paced the same floors that she did. Unlike her, though, their footsteps could generally be heard and their company avoided if she was feeling antisocial.
She wasn't sure just how she was feeling right now, so she walked on.
