When Spike pushed her away, the slayer didn't try to reclaim a spot by his side. She knew he hated to appear weak in front of Angel. Still, she was confused. Why was Angel being so hostile towards her and...cold? Part of her could understand the anger because of everything in their recent past, but she hoped, maybe, that they could move forward here for the sake of their friends and all of their safety. It didn't seem to matter. Could he possibly be jealous of Spike?
Her green eyes flickered between the two vampires, but before she could even open her mouth to say anything, Spike was speaking again, voice filled with anger at the other vampire, at her. She swallowed; it was true, wasn't it? He was from a time far behind their own and now, he was stuck because they all knew things he didn't and some about him. She knew he would pull away. He was angry. The blue eyes were a flame with pain. "Spike. I'm sorry", she said loudly, "I'm sorry." What else could she say? Nothing really.
Her gaze shifted between Willow and Angel. When this was finished, Will and her were going to have a talk, but right now, this was about the blonde before her. "You're place is with us. No matter what. No matter what." He wouldn't believe her and that hurt, but it was the truth. She knew Willow saw it that way too and deep down, Angel might too. The two fought, but she found it hard to believe there wasn't some caring there. Stupidly, she reached out and touched his shoulder.
