Clint preferred actions to words. He was not good with expressing emotion or even feeling to anyone. He observed human emotion and feeling more than he ever played a role in it. His job made it difficult, but he knew he personality made it even more so. Most of his mission for Fury were solo and it was only with the Avengers did he finally become an actual team player in the heat of the moment. Now, the team or a good majority of it, was here. Again, they would have to rise to the occasion and protect the people that could not protect themselves, but could they? Not all these people were normal humans; some of them had knowledge and skill of their own to be played out in battle. They would put their lives on the line and die some of them. The team got so much bigger, but at least he had the people he trusted close.
At least he had Nat.
The archer who never missed his mark, Clint, paced the lobby and waited patiently for the fury redheaded agent to appear. He was going on the supply run early tomorrow and while he never went on a mission thinking he was not coming back, Clint had to be realistic about it too. Zombies were a new low for them and while he was confident in his skill, anything could happen out there, in the heat of the moment. Out of all the people, he wanted to see Nat the most because deep down, she was someone he did care for a lot. He would never show it, never put them in danger by his own weakness, but it was the truth. So, maybe if he died, he wanted her face to be the last he saw before it all went black and when ventured to God knows where. Sometimes, in the heat of a fight, he realized she was and would be the closet to heaven he ever got. They knew each other well, inside and out, and sometimes words were not even needed. They just...understood each other. It was the one selfish moment Clint had and yeah, he was going to fucking take it.
