There had been a lot going on for Luna ever since the MoM ball. It was the day after that she had decided she needed to buckle down about getting her Mini Magi classes up and going. She had already scoped out a few buildings and had a small list going on locations that could potentially work for the classes. She had started a list of other things that she needed to get done. She had piled all of that work on top of projects she already was trying to handle for Christmas. She had been making Christmas gifts since about September in an attempt to get through them all.
There was one person in Luna’s life that knew how to multitask like a pro, was the smartest witch she knew, and knew how to find some sort of calm amongst all the chaos. It was why Luna had sent a message ahead to Hermione to see if she might like a friend to join her for lunch at the Leaky Cauldron. While Luna knew that Hermione typically spent her lunches there already, she had wanted to be sure to ask if Hermione would like company before just showing up to ambush her friend. It wasn’t polite to just ambush someone.
Luna had arrived earlier than she should have to meet Hermione but that was because one of her closest friends, Hannah, ran the Leaky. She had wanted to pop in to visit with Hannah, only remembering once she had arrived that Hannah had training today. Instead while she waited, Luna took up one of the tables with Rolf’s newest book laid out in front of her, notes already scribbled in margins, a second copy of Rolf’s book without so much scribbling on it, notebooks, and drawings. She had been trying to get more information down about different creatures that might be appropriate to show her classes. It had been a good distraction to keep her busy until Hermione arrived.
