It was not as if Hannah hadn't wanted to go to the masquerade, it was just how the month was going. There had seemed to be a lot of social gatherings that October - add to that all of her training and keeping the Leaky going. Hannah was burned out. She figured Lisa wouldn't take offense. She wasn't not going because it was being held at V-Bar, it was her anxiety getting to her, and the exhaustion, unfortunately.
Besides, mostly all of her staff wanted to go save for Megan who she was sure was up in her room right now. So Hannah stayed back at the Leaky and made herself a tea after having one of her milder calming draughts. She felt fine after that and busied herself cleaning the bar and the pup in general. It's what she did when she was looking for distraction. Though lately, she had been obnoxiously happy and smiling at everyone. At one point Megan even saw her, made a kind of joking "Bllleeurrggg" noise and went right back into her room.
Ever since she and Ernie had gotten together at the ball, they'd seen each other for at least a couple hours every night. Either at his place or Hannah's room at the Leaky. She was insanely happy, even though it left her distracted. So when she saw a hand waving in front of her face, she laughed and apologized. "Sorry, in my own little world for a minute there."
