When Calypso explained how she'd gone with Theodore Nott (of whose sheer existence Ginny had honestly forgotten up until now) and Blaise had gone with Kermit, Ginny's eyes widened slightly. "Shit, I've missed all the interesting things," she decided. Last she'd spoken to Kermit he'd been sort of kind of probably not seeing someone and now he was, which really just made Ginny a shit friend. Then again, she never really expected herself to be a fantastic friend, so presumably neither did he. At least Ginny knew now, so next time she saw Kermit she could say that it wasn't like she'd completely blanked all of the interesting things in his life. She just learned about them from someone else.
"Most excitement I've had is not exhausting myself during practises too much and bullying my brother," Ginny said thoughtfully, reaching to pick her wine glass up and take a sip from it. "Neither of those have been as fun as they sound," she observed. "And lets face it, they don't sound all that exciting," which Ginny felt was fair. She really hadn't done a great deal with her time as of late. Perhaps she should invite Neville over, see how his life was going. Or Luna. Surely both of them had been up to things that at this point Ginny could classify as gossip. Calypso was already providing on the Kermit front of gossip.
Taking another sip of her wine, Ginny thought about what sort of exciting things she might do in the future, which reminded her of the existence of Halloween. "Oh! Halloween," she said out loud, giving Calypso a smile. "V-Bar, did you say?" Ginny had made no plans as of yet, but presumed that she probably should. Going to whatever party Calypso planned to attend seemed like a good idea, since at least Ginny could guarantee she'd have a fun time.
