Re: Septimus and Quintella
"You more than anyone else in the sanctuary, and you know it," Tim said breezily. In his opinion, that was true. Yes, he often made eyes at his sister to try and get his own way, and he usually succeeded, but the fact that he felt as though he had to do that at all was rather telling. Quintella was in charge always. She was the higher power whether she realised it or not, and Tim had always needed to answer to or get around her in everything. No, Ella was definitely worth far more than she thought.
"I think that your cats are an extreme improvement on any cat I have ever met in my life," he said, though it was perhaps only because he had somehow managed to develop them into something like pack animals which they were most definitely not meant to be. The barking had only been the beginning, but he was sure that Ella didn't mind too much.
He was happy, at least, that she'd dropped the conversation about making him go and dance with someone. Bad enough that he had already been made to go to the singles meeting where he had seen no one at all. He was content to leave it at that. "Shall we dance?" he questioned as the music began, holding out his hand as he had done at so many balls in the past.
