Re: Theo & Calypso
Theo knew that Oya wasn't what most people thought of as a typical mother, whatever that was. He couldn't remember his own and his mind tended to skip away from the subject whenever he thought about it, something that he often just let happen because there was too much in his mind that he couldn't hide from to not take advantage when he could. These things that haunted him made him both fragile and strong; it was because of it that he'd be able to hold his own against Oya without underestimating her, because of this that he knew how to be careful. Helping Calypso avoid the pressure of her mother's questions about passing on her genes was more than enough incentive to put up with mind games and death threats.
Theo's body was small but corded in iron for all the tension he carried, but he tried to soften himself for the unusual hug. It felt strange as it did whenever he was hugged by someone who wasn't Blaise, who had possibly hugged him the most, but it wasn't uncomfortable. He was happy making her happy and he found himself feeling strangely energised when she pulled away. He was abashed by her gentle reprimand, even if he wasn't sure of how truthful it was. He couldn't help feel that if it was true that Calypso wouldn't be here when she didn't want to be. "Well, I appreciate it." he reassured her with a fleeting smile.
He looked back to the school as she did and tried to concentrate more on the task at hand than the ghosts and phantoms of what had gone before. "Just say the word and we'll leave. I can be the cause, I don't care. We don't have to stay a moment longer than you are comfortable with."
