He was, to nobody's surprise ever, working. When he made his rounds, unless the few emergency numbers in his phone messaged or rang, it didn't make a sound, and he didn't look at it until he went on break at one point. His brow, already prone to furrowing, furrowed a bit deeper and like many people, just the words "we need to talk" burrowed into him with an intense spurt of anxiety and his heart started to race a bit and not really in a good way.
Even though she really did try to make it sound okay.
He honestly couldn't think of anything he'd done wrong or could be in trouble for. Aside from his dates with her, he hadn't been going out hardly at all. He'd gone to supper at Blaise's a few times and all, but that tended to be about it, these days. THey'd been friends too long for her to not know how he handled all but emergencies while working.
So what could it be? For the very life of him, Theo couldn't think what it could possibly be. Which somehow was more anxiety inducing than being able to peg something he'd done.
But all he did for the immediate moment was text back.
MM to Hannah: I'll drop by after shift if that's okay
