At his first words, she felt a spike of panic was through her, and she shook her head. "You said you'd stay with me," she whispered rather pathetically. She didn't want to be alone; she really didn't want to be alone. It wasn't a fear of anything happening, but rather more of a desperation to simply not be alone.
"Please," she added when he spoke again. She didn't care if it made her seem like some pathetic desperate little thing, and it would be safer for her to not be alone, just in case, anyway.
