Re: Robert and Dora
She watched him take a drink, and she wondered. He didn't seem to her like much of a drinker, but something had him downing his drink just like she'd swallowed down half of hers. A veteran drinker and sometimes alcohol abuser, she knew that kind of thing very well. Though she rarely drowned her sorrows or drank in order to sleep anymore -- the children were enough incentive to keep from that most days -- she had never quit completely and didn't htink she would. She simply tried to be careful about her indulgences and always made sure to be careful if there was even a chance she had to be ready for the children.
She also ordered another with a flick of her fingers, though she took the first sip slow. Wondering, in part, if she needed to pace herself in order to get him home safely later. Yes, that might be a good idea as she had no idea whom she might call for him.
"Not into tall busty blondes?" she teased lightly, and now the amusement did rest in her lips and eyes, though the edge she'd taken on earlier had not disappeared completely, for she rather felt protective now, and she did not want to let anyone else bother him unduly. Not as the woman had. She supposed it would be rude to ask him what his ideal was, though her curiosity was pricked. Trying to figure otu people, more normal people than her, had always been a thing, especially since she knew she wasn't quite right at times, even now.
Instead, however, she tapped a finger to her lips in brief thought and then asked, also curiously, "So how awkward is it when you have those sorts of scenes with other people for the show and the like?"
