Re: Robert and Dora
"It's called Soulless, by this author Gail Carriger," she said. "I found it because apparently the third book came out? Such a different take on magic and the world." She shook her head slightly, marveling just a little to herself about it. Muggles really were amazing at times.
Dora turned slightly to gesture to the bartender to bring him a drink and that she'd probably want another shortly. Even though she'd only been casually sipping she was to this day someone who tended to drink a fair amount, if not nearly so frequently as the past.
He seemed distracted and she was wondering if he would rather be elsewhere. But he was continuing to talk to her and she couldn't deny she enjoyed talking with him. Like him, she wasn't thinking anything more than friendship. The witch did not expect more than perhaps a drunken night of sex here and there out of life even now. But there was always room for friends.
"Oh I love the theme nights," she agreed with a firm nod. "The Halloween masquerade is a must, if you've never been before. I've been every year," even the year she'd rather have hidden at home, "and it's always so elaborate and fun. And the owner is terribly talented with things like that."
