Lexa had always been the more impulsive one of the two of them-- enough so that Charlotte hadn't been entirely surprised when Lexa had mentioned that they should meet up. Perhaps they were visiting her parents, or her brother, or even simply having a pleasant date in Hogsmeade.
Not that she minded. She loved Lexa-- even now, the joy of seeing her, of holding hands with her, held fast, Charlotte beaming as she made her way to her girlfriend's side.
"... oh!" She had to admit, it was convenient that it was the weekend as the students were arriving-- and that she still had so few responsibilities around Hogwarts that her presence at the beginning of the year didn't matter all too terribly much. "I'm not upset, it's just... surprising. It's like a last-minute vacation!" Which she didn't complain about in the least. The summer living with Lexa had been heavenly. She simply wasn't ready to return to living at Hogwarts just yet-- which meant that she didn't hesitate at all when she grabbed hold of the portkey, her eyes widening considerably when they arrived.
