"Ready for another night at Proof at The Cauldron Inn! Join me in Diagon Alley for Happy Hour until 8pm and 1/2 off wine all night! And don't forget Karaoke kicks off at V-Bar on Victory Road at 8pm and goes till close - tell Leslie I said hi! #WINEDOWNWEDNESDAY #WINECRUSHWEDNESDAY #WINESDAY #WOMENWEDNESDAY"
Also, Lisa's life these days was the opposite of gossip fodder. She worked - 7 days a week most of the time, 15+ hour days. Between still running both businesses, though Leslie had taken over as GM of V-Bar (thank goodness!) she also had a small empire to worry about. Of course, hiring Eleanor Branstone two years ago had been among the best decisions Lisa had ever made - her CFO kept her books in line, her sanity in tact, and had even become someone Lisa would call a friend (even if Lisa still could not for the life of her understand what Eleanor saw in Gaspard Shingleton!).
Other than work, Lisa enjoyed a short run most mornings, sometimes before the sun had even risen, and spent her little free time still reading epic romance novels in her flat at The Quarante-Sept on Victory Road. She had heard Leslie on the phone with her husband once, commenting - not unkindly - on Lisa's lack of relationships, but she had contented herself that maybe it wasn't in the cards for some people. Of course, she still harboured an ill-advised crush on Ron Weasley, even after this time since they'd attempted dating. He was just so damned handsome! And he had no idea how attractive he was!
Thinking of him as she wiped down the bar, she laughed at herself and shook her head, going back to restocking from the lunch rush and pulling out lemons and limes to slice for the coming crowd. Just another night behind the bar...
