Network: Waking Up Who: Hannah and Theo When: Friday, March 23, 2010 Where: St. Mungo's What: Hannah's finally waking up. Warnings: Trauma, memory loss, disorganized speech
It had been nearly two months, though while in a coma, Hannah Abbott was oblivious to the passage of time. Her mind, what wasn't damaged by the shrapnel in the explosion, shielded her from awareness, protected her from the intense pain that encompassed her entire body. The external wounds had healed, the bones long since mended and the cuts healed and faded to scars.
To anyone looking, she merely looked to be sleeping, her breathing slow and steady, her eyes moving periodically under her lids, but no other part of her body had moved of it's own accord in the time she'd been in the hospital. But this morning, the fingers of her left hand twitched, and later the toes of her right foot. And now, as the sun descended over the horizon, Hannah's eyes slowly fluttered open, a harsh, scratchy sound coming from her throat.
