This was why he'd kept the food simple--not quite bland, but certainly not as adventurous or intensive as what he might normally try his hand at for family--but they needed to eat. Especially Dora, with the twins relying on her and the bairn growing in her now. He worried about her, concerned that she wasn't gaining weight the way she should, though that was more Persy's territory than his own. He did at least try to make sure both Dora and Zahara had well rounded meals at home. With being on his extended leave from work still, it was one of the things he felt he needed to do to contribute.
He couldn't say he was surprised that the question was asked so soon, though he was marginally surprised that it was Persephone asking instead of Pandora. Still, he hid a wince and took a deep breath, sure that neither of them were going to be pleased with the answer.
"Zahara and I went to Andrew's house for his birthday dinner," he began, having no intention of keeping it from them. "Da is married to his mum in the muggle world. They arrived a little bit after Zahara and I did." There was more, so much more, but he went quiet then, giving them a moment to soak in that bit of huge information.
