Most people probably would have predicted she be that poised person. She probably would have. But though she was presentable, she wasn't quite her normal polished self. The children were, but not her. She honestly didn't want to focus on herself at all at this moment.
"That would be so nice," she agreed with more life and fervency in her voice that she'd perhaps meant to let slip, but she was so tired already of that being the first thing out of anyone's mouth right now.
"Thank you, Persy," she whispered as they walked slowly.
