RP: Some Like it Hot Who: Blaise/Draco and Addi When: Wednesday, January 10, 2010 Where: Blaise/Draco's house, then muggle London, then back again What: The guys have invited Addi to join them to see an old Hollywood film at the Muggle cinema. Warnings: None
Ever since New Year's Eve, Adelaide had been looking forward to the tenth. She'd known she needed to talk to Phillip, to figure out how to break things off with him in a way that wouldn't destroy any sort of co-parenting relationship they might have in the future, and she'd fretted all last week about it until finally talking to him on Friday night. That he let her go without a fight was simultaneously reassuring and disappointing. But she wasn't dwelling on it. Phillip had been an incredible support for her during a very dark and difficult time, but she'd come to realize that he wasn't her forever.
She didn't necessarily think Blaise and Draco could be her forever either, but she knew that they would be a lot of fun while she figured out what she wanted in life, for herself and for her daughter. That they might be interested in her for more than just that fun hadn't occurred to her.
After work, she'd gone home and showered, wanting to be fresh for this outing, and then dressed in a comfortable maternity dress and leggings. Over the last couple weeks, her stomach had popped out noticeably, and she'd had to scramble a bit getting her wardrobe up to par. She'd tugged her peacoat on that Draco had seemed to like so much before leaving, though she couldn't comfortably button it up. She was going to need to remember to bring it in to work tomorrow so someone could adjust it for her. She wasn't worrying about that as she stepped through the floo though, the travel making her feel queasy as it always did these days, though she was able to keep her stomach as she stepped out into Blaise's sitting room.
🎥
Blaise was dressed casually for him, in a thick cashmere sweater over a dress shirt and slacks. It was a cinema, which he was passingly familiar with, but his sense of style and quality very rarely slipped down as far as most people's. The sweater's warm golden tones brought out flecks of colour in his eyes.
Though he was rather fond of Draco in denims.
He was uncertain about this non date, though he showed none of his doubts. If the ball had shown nothing else, there was still a lot of attraction going on between the three of them, but she was taken... And so there were lines they had to skirt.
As tempting as it was to cross them.
He sat at a small table to the side in their shared living area, frowning down at the chess board as Buona, sitting on a stack of cushions across from him, smirked at him. It was a welcome distraction, then, when the Floo activated and spilled Adelaide out.
He smiled warmly at her. Her bump was unmistakeable now, he noted as he rose, but still it didn't bother him at all. "Good evening, principessa," he greeted.
🎥
After New Years Eve Draco had felt a bit guilty for how he had just dashed away. He hadn't been able to hold his human shape long once he had apparated to the country house grounds, he wouldn't have lasted if he had dawdled even for a moment there with Adelaide. Even though he knew it had been for her safety, he had wanted to apologize to her. He had enlisted Blaise's help in not only finding the perfect vase, but he had asked the man to help him pick which flowers he would make for the wooden bouquet he had made to go inside the vase. While Draco had the entire thing put together before Adelaide had arrived, he had forgotten it downstairs where he had been showing it to his lover just the night before.
Draco entered the room just moments after Adelaide had exited the floo, his eyes instantly drawn to her middle. She was showing, more than she had been showing the last few times he had seen her. What a difference just a few weeks made. She looked beautiful still, even if that jacket he so enjoyed seeing her in was unable to close at the moment. "Is Buona winning again?" he asked as he entered the room, making his way across the joined sitting room to where the pair where. "I wanted to apologize for my bad behavior on New Years Eve. Blaise helped me so that I might make you something you would enjoy," he explained, as he held the gift out towards her.
🎥
What a fascinating sight, Adelaide thought as she stepped out of the floo and spotted him playing chess with Buona. "Good evening, monsieur," she returned the greeting warmly. She knew she could come up with something more clever to call him, but she got a little bit of a thrill referring to him as 'sir' even when they weren't playing those sorts of games. She already had a comfort level with him that she'd never been able to reach with Roberto, though perhaps something in her subconscious had recognized that there wasn't something quite right about her ex.
And then Draco came in, looking as ruggedly handsome as usual, and between the two of them, she felt a spike of lust kick. But they had a date to get to, even if she was sure neither of them saw it as a date--they still thought she was with Phillip, after all. She'd been so distracted looking at him, that she hadn't noticed the vase of flowers immediately, but her eyes were drawn to them as he held it out toward her. They looked so real, and she reached out to take the vase from him with one hand, her other coming up to finger the wooden petals lightly.
"Draco," she breathed, moisture tinging her eyes. "They're beautiful." She turned to set them on a nearby table and then closed the distance between them, pushing up on her toes so she could brush her lips against his. "Thank you," she murmured. She still wanted to ask what had happened that night, why his eyes had turned amber and why he'd had to leave like that, but she didn't want to ruin the moment.
🎥
He couldn't say he minded how she addressed him. Though he didn't generally carry his bedroom games into every day life, he was still sometimes a difficult, dominant sort of person. Though most people seemed to handle it well enough.
"She is not," Blaise said tartly, just as Buona piped up with a smug, high pitched, "Of course I is." He made a face at the house elf.
Right now, however, Blaise let Draco take the lead, for he was the one who had wanted so fervently to apologize. And Adelaide did deserve an apology, though he still didn't think it was wise to give her a full explanation. At least not until they got some things sorted out. His eyebrows raised slightly in surprise as Addi kissed his lover. Of course, she'd done so the other night, but as far as he knew, she was still taken. Unless they were about to become the secret affair? Well, for now, he was simply going to see how things played out for a bit before he started asking questions.
"Don't let him lie, he did all the work," Blaise said easily, not taking any of the credit for any of it, coming up behind her but not imposing upon any of their space.
🎥
A warm laugh slipped from him hearing Blaise and Buona, Gods how he loved the man. While Draco had never formed the sort of bond with his house elf as Blaise had with Buona, he had gotten used to Buona being around. He even treated her as one of the family, which was something he knew would make his father sick to see.
He had looked away to see just what Blaise was up to, when Adelaide had turned away to set the vase down. He had assumed that was the end of it, they were beautiful, he was just turning back to look at her, and thank her, when she was suddenly there. It was automatic as his arms slid around her waist, and she had kissed him. He didn't know if that counted as a kiss, was it one of those pecks that you shared with friends? Though he thought after New Years Eve, they weren't allowed even those because Draco had terrible self control. Thankfully the supermoon was done, and Draco was far more in control of his impulses. He was able to fight the urge to return the kiss in the way he wanted, a proper snog, but instead he pressed a kiss to the corner of her lips. "You're very welcome," he said in a softer tone, straightening himself up. He should let go of her, shouldn't he?
Blaise was the one with more tact, Draco always seemed to put his foot in his mouth. Blaise wasn't going to ask questions, but Draco couldn't stop himself. "Everything is alright with-" he stopped himself, he couldn't say Philip's name. "How are you?"
🎥
Addi giggled at the exchange between the men and Buona, feeling lighter than she had in ages. She glanced back when Blaise addressed her, smiling at how close he was now even if he wasn't quite intruding on personal space yet. She wondered if it was still the whole propriety thing and not wanting to cross lines, but she didn't want to spoil the surprise just yet. It was a bit more fun this way, she thought, and there would be plenty of time for the other sorts of fun.
She held a hand out toward Blaise, inviting him closer, even as Draco asked about her. Though he cut himself off, she assumed he was asking about the baby, and she turned to a wide smile toward him. "Oh, everything's perfect with her," she answered, rubbing her other hand over her bump lovingly. "And I'm doing really well, too. How have you been? Better than... last week?" she asked with a raised brow, both asking and not asking what was up that night.
🎥
Blaise was not exactly certain how things stood between them all, after New Years, and he wasn't yet willing to make assumptions or to break his word. But at her gesture, he drifted closer, and his eyes dropped to her bump as her hand did. "The little one is finally making herself known to the world," he murmured with a faint grin. Though tempted to reach out, that most definitely was not his place, and from Dora's complaining, he knew a lot of pregnant women resented the intrusion.
"You're looking great as well," he noted. And she was. Once again, the baby bump didn't put him off except to remind him of his respectful promise. "And I think we're all doing rather well, though I won't take the words right out of Draco's mouth," he said, the tone a bit dry and most definitely teasing.
🎥
His question had been phrased so poorly, and when she told him how she was doing so well, his brows perked. “Are we still guessing?” he asked curiously, since when they had met at the cinema she had called it a she then too. He had thought she had said that she was just hoping for a girl, he wondered if she knew by now. He had no idea how far along a woman had to be before they could tell such a thing, so he was likely going to continue to ask anytime she mentioned the little peanut. As he watched her rubbing her bump, he kept having the most ridiculous urge to rub her stomach. He blamed Dora, she was the first pregnant woman he had really been around. He had been allowed to touch the twins when they were squirming around in there, now he wanted to touch Addi’s to see if he could feel something there too.
Draco had already decided that now was not the time to tell Adelaide. It wasn’t a matter of trust, it all came back to the fact he had told Daph before they had started dating. She had been the first person other than Blaise to know about his affliction. He was trying to be more careful. Besides, as he reminded himself, he wasn’t dating Adelaide, there was no good reason to tell her about the wolf. They were friends, and he would try to be better closer to full moons. He didn’t want to jeopardize her, or her unborn child, all because he was selfish and couldn’t leave the taken woman alone.
“I’m doing much better, thank you for the concern,” Draco tried to sound gracious, but he was giving his lover a playful glare, which likely made his words come off a bit funny. “I’m glad to hear you’re both well.” He’d have never forgave himself if he had truly lost it that night and had hurt her.
Then, because he just couldn’t stand there like this much longer, he took a step just slightly closer to Adelaide. She was between them, and he really couldn’t ignore it so easily as they conversed like this was normal. “I don’t think your boyfriend would like it much that we’re turning you into a sandwich again, ma petite,” he said, being sure to give her a look that let her know exactly where his thoughts had gone. To that night they had shared with her, when she had really been the filling.
🎥
When Draco asked that, she smiled just a touch wider and shook her head. "No, we're not guessing," she answered directly. "She is definitely a girl!" And she wasn't even going to try to hide how excited she was about that. They'd both known she wanted a girl, but she was a little surprised that Blaise hadn't told Draco she was officially having a girl. It just reconfirmed to her that she really could trust him, not that she'd really doubted it.
"Thank you," she said, glancing to the side to smile at Blaise. She was doing much better, and she rather thought it showed. She looked back at Draco when he answered, though his expression seemed to contradict his words in a way that had her furrowing her brows at him. She would ask eventually, she thought, but she didn't think she needed to ask today. Whatever had been going on with Draco that night was obviously something they weren't ready to talk about with her, and she had to respect that.
Her breath caught when Draco took a step closer, almost boxing her in between him and Blaise in a way that had her warming with desire. And then he spoke again, and she pressed her lips together to keep from laughing. Well, it would seem that the time had come to reveal the little surprise. "Hmm, I suppose then that it's probably a good thing I don't have a boyfriend anymore," she murmured to them both, tilting her chin down enough so she could peek at Draco coyly through her lashes.
🎥
Blaise had known it was official, but he hadn't really thought to tell Draco on that little detail. For one, it had been told in confidence, and two, it hadn't really been something he'd thought to say.
He was glad when Draco took on the metaphorical elephant in the room. He had to admit he was curious. A hand went to support her back as he moved a bit closer.
"Really now? Isn't that interesting," he murmured in his deep, warm voice. His eyes flickered to Draco's over the top of Adelaide, his eyebrows slightly raised in speculation.
🎥
A soft chuckle left Draco when she announced there was no more guessing. “Congratulations, ma petite,” he said in a softer, amused tone. He really was happy for her though, she seemed much happier today than she had that day at the cinema. Sure, she had been in a fantastic mood when he’d dropped her off in France, but there something about her now.
Her confession about not having a boyfriend anymore however had his brows perked with interest. After the shared New Year’s kiss, Blaise had let Draco know that this was likely a possibility. It had helped ease some of the guilt that Draco had been feeling about the entire situation. While he may not have liked Phillip, and definitely didn’t like him for Adelaide, he hadn’t honestly wanted to come between their relationship if she was happy. Though, he assumed that if she had been happy with her beau, then Blaise and he wouldn’t have been able to come between them.
“Extremely,” he said in a tone to match Blaise’s murmur. He always enjoyed the little cat and mouse games, though he had the most ridiculous urge to pick her up with the way she was peeking at him through her lashes. Fear of potentially hurting her or her little peanut kept him from picking her up. Instead he closed any gaps, so that she was as sandwiched between them as she could be with her little bump. He brought a hand up to cup her cheek then, and let himself do what he’d wanted to since she had kissed him in thanks, he kissed her. Grey eyes slid closed, as his free hand came down to fall on her hip, hoping to find Blaise’s hand there.
🎥
Interesting was one way to put it, and she did so enjoy the sound in Blaise's voice as he said it. And then Draco agreed, and her stomach fluttered with the way he was looking at her. Addi didn't do anything, though, instead waiting to see what either of them would do, and Draco didn't disappoint in the least. Her head tipped up, tilting against his hand, eyes fluttering closed as his lips met hers. One hand lifted to curl around the back of his neck, the other reaching behind her for Blaise, wanting more contact with him.
She melted into the kiss, but then her anxiety got the better of her. She wanted to be with them again, to be sandwiched between them again, both of them filling her up in the best of ways, but thoughts she never would have thought before last summer descended upon her, pushing through the pleasure to cloud her mind. The thought that they had only pursued her under the guise of friendship while she was with Phillip because they wanted to sleep with her again lurked in her mind, causing a dull ache in the center of her chest. She wanted more than sex, but she was pregnant with another man's baby and she was a Muggle--she had a hard time believing they could possibly want her as their third beyond just some fantastic sex from time to time.
Although she didn't rush to end the kiss, she did gently break it after a minute, giggling softly against his lips. "Careful there, Mr. Malfoy. We've got a movie to get to, after all," she reminded him before brushing her lips against his once more and then relaxing back against Blaise.
🎥
Blaise only eased up behind her, nuzzling lightly at her neck. Fingers of one hand tangled with Draco's at her hip, but his other eased around her so that when she leaned back against him, his hand curved protectively around her, hand tentatively cupping her bump. His lips brushed over her cheek lightly. Draco was the more impulsive of the two of them, and he the more observant. In those ways they actually complemented each other.
"That we do," he said. "Tell me, before we go... are you doing all right about the break up?" The question was gently asked. Not pressing for details, but asking after her well being. Yes, he found it interesting and yes, he wanted to take advantage of the opportunity. But not necessarily right away, not if she wasn't ready for that step.
🎥
Draco had far too many questions when the kiss broke. Was this an actual date? Blaise's question seemed far more important though, and he started to untangle himself from the pair but not before he gave Blaise's hand a squeeze. He rather enjoyed the sight in front of him, and he knew he needed to stop that thought in it's tracks. He knew he was too impulsive when it came to Adelaide, and he needed space from her so that he could think rationally again. He knew it was too soon to be thinking of taking her on dates, she was newly single, and he was just getting over everything with Daphne.
He waited for her answer though, he didn't run to grab his leather jacket just yet. He wanted to hear that she was alright before he grabbed his jacket so they could go. The movie would be soon, and he wanted time to get some of those refreshments again. He thought he might like to share a popcorn with Blaise, maybe even some of those candies that Adelaide had gotten the last time they had gone.
🎥
The feel of Blaise's firm body behind her, his lips nuzzling at her neck, made her imagine him as a mountain, strong and steady, and if he was a mountain, then Draco was a blizzard, sweeping her up in an intense flurry of emotions. They were both strong, intelligent men, and their differences appealed to her deeply. And when she felt Blaise's hand gently holding her baby bump and Draco took a step back, she sighed softly, eyes closing briefly, her hand coming up to rest over Blaise's, pressing his more firmly against her stomach. She hadn't really felt any kicks yet, but from what she'd read, it should be soon, though a bit longer for anyone else to be able to feel them.
Blaise's question, though, had her tilting her head against his shoulder, turning it so she could peek up at him. "I am," she answered first. "I... I love Phillip, and he'll always be a part of my life, but I'm not in love with him. It took me a while to admit it, but I know I made the right choice." Perhaps she was giving a bit more of an in-depth answer than he'd been looking for, but she didn't want either of them to worry that she'd done this impulsively. Smiling, she leaned up a bit so she could brush her lips against Blaise's in a light kiss.
🎥
When she didn't smack his hands away, he held her a bit closer to him, hand still pressed warmly over her bump. Not possessively but protectively. Especially since her coming over near Christmas and hearing what happened, he'd been protective, though he had a natural inclination that way anyway. he had also wondered if her relationship would last, ever since then.
"Good, I'm glad you're at peace with the decision." It felt thought out and well reasoned and he didn't have any doubts on that score.
"Go get your jacket, Caro, or you will freeze," he told Draco. "Do you need anything before we head out, principessa?"
🎥
Draco hadn't realized he'd been so on edge about her answer until she replied. He felt a flood of relief, she sounded very sure of her decision. He had started for the door just as Blaise had told him to grab his jacket, he didn't linger long enough to hear him ask Adelaide if she would need anything. He slipped into Blaise's room to grab their jackets, leaving his phone on the table. There weren't many he would interrupt this movie date to answer the phone for, and those people would be with him at the movie so he didn't see a point in taking it with him.
He was back in minutes, wearing his leather bomber jacket over his outfit for today. His denims and a simple cotton long sleeved blue shirt that he hoped made his grey eyes appear just slightly blue. Draped over his arm was Blaise's jacket, and as he was checking the heating charms on the jacket he was reminded of Adelaide's jacket. "Did you ever get those heating charms put into your jacket, ma petite? I don't believe I ever got around to doing them for you that day."
🎥
She felt just that little bit of comfort in the way Blaise continued to hold her, and she wondered if he would let her stay the night with him tonight. Not for sex, but to be held. It was something she hadn't been as comfortable with before last summer, but for all that her relationship with Phillip hadn't been meant to be, he had spoiled her in the beginning with just holding her as she slept, and she was willing to admit to herself that she'd missed it since the dinner party. "I am," she reconfirmed softly.
When Draco left the room, she turned in Blaise's arms so she could smile up at him. "No, I don't need anything," she answered, one hand coming up to brush over the front of that super soft sweater he was wearing. She had so many thoughts running through her head, things she wanted to say to him, but Draco was coming back in before she had time to make sense of them, so instead she sighed softly, brushing over the sweater again before taking a small step back so she could turn to look at Draco.
She chuckled softly at the question and following statement, shaking her head a bit. "We did forget in the excitement, but that's all right. I did have someone put those charms in place, not to worry." But oh how distracting he looked in those jeans and jacket--it made her want to tug it all off him and have her wicked way with him, which were thoughts she really ought to stop as it probably wouldn't be right to rush into that with them, much as she might want to. "And who will do the honors?" she asked teasingly, not sure which of them wanted to apparate her--or all of them, she wasn't sure if one of them would prefer to apparate them as a group.
🎥
Blaise would be amenable. He always was with Draco, as well. As much as he loved sex, he was also good with cuddling. He wasn't one of those who just wanted the sex and nothing else. Not that he would outright admit it most of the time. After all, he was Blaise Zabini, he had a reputation to maintain.
He flashed a smile at the both of them, taking his duster length jacket from Draco with a murmur of thanks and pulling it on. It complemented the image he almost always maintained easily. "Draco, do the honors, since I don't know precisely where we're going?" he said, offering the blonde his hand.
🎥
Draco gave Blaise a warm smile at the murmur of thanks, his hand easily finding the other man's a moment later when he asked if Draco would do the honors. "I'd love to," he said as his fingers laced with his. "Alright everyone, clear your minds," he announced once everyone was holding hands. It was only then he apparated them to the spot just around the corner of the little cinema. It was just out of sight of any muggles, down the alley directly next to the cinema.
When the group landed, he shivered and shook a moment. He really didn't enjoy the cold much, at least not without his fur. "I was thinking we could get some popcorn and snacks before we found our seats," he announced, as the three-some made their way towards the front doors of the cinema. It was ridiculous but he'd enjoyed the treats, they had been one of his favorite parts, even if he had dumped most of his popcorn on the floor.
🎥
Addi took both of their hands and closed her eyes to clear her mind, and when they landed, she had to fight down a wave of nausea. She let go of their hands, pressing one to her protruding belly and the other to her mouth, eyes still closed. And then she heard Draco's voice, and she opened her eyes, looking at him as she lowered her hand from her mouth. "That sounds good, I just need to duck into the loo first," she replied as they made their way to the ticket counter. The queasy feeling was tapering off, but she was definitely going to want to empty her bladder before sitting for the movie.
🎥
His hand remained strong on her back, supportively. Ready to help if needed, or retreat if she'd rather. "You do that," he said. "What do you want, we can start fetching it?" He wanted to tell her that she was one up on Pandora, who had thrown up on his shoes -- or nearly so -- at least once during her pregnancy, but he was rather afraid that would grant him a well-earned smack.
Once she went off to the loo, Blaise draped his arm over Draco to keep him warm, having caught the shiver. "Come now, let's get the things you want, and we can go watch this movie."
🎥
Draco nodded at Addi's words, he was just glad she hadn't gotten sick. He understood enough about pregnancy to know that it wasn't his apparation abilities that had made her want to be sick, and yet he still felt just a smidge guilty as he watched her walk away a few minutes later for the loo. He leaned into Blaise's warm embrace then. "I'll share my popcorn with you, I think I might like you enough," he teased. He easily slid his own arm around the other's waist, having no shame as he pressed close to steal some of his warmth. "I forgot my scarf," he said, laughing softly as he realized they sounded a bit like an old married couple.
He pulled away only as they reached the counter to buy the tickets, and his hand had found Blaise's hand again easily as they got in line for the concessions. "It's completely unfair of me to call dibs on picking the seats while she's in the loo, isn't it?"
🎥
She tilted her chin up to smile at Blaise, grateful that neither of them seemed awkward about her talking about even needing to go to the loo. Some guys were weird about that sort of thing, but they'd never struck her as that sort. Granted, she still had a lot to learn about them both, obviously, but she was willing to take her time with it, to learn more about them along the way rather than playing twenty questions. "Hmm, that depends. If there'll be a meal after the movie, then just popcorn. If not, then add a pretzel and those chocolate raisins." She wasn't even going to feel embarrassed by the junk she was asking for, instead shooting Draco an amused look as if to remind him 'no judgement!' before heading in to find the loo.
🎥
Blaise was pretty much shameless anytime, and he felt no self consciousness even here among the Muggles. He was comfortable with Draco, and it showed. He had an innate confidence, too, that helped with such things. "Not particularly, after all, I'm here." He did know how to handle muggle money just fine, and so he had no trouble purchasing the tickets they needed and then guiding them in to the concessions stand.
"It probably is, yes," he said dryly as they waited in line. "But by all means, you can try. I'm sure she'll rearrange us if she wishes."
🎥
Draco chuckled at his reply, leaning into his lover then, as he squeezed Blaise's hand. "She would, wouldn't she? It seems a bit fruitless then," he admitted, his eyes glancing towards the loo to see if she was on her way out or not. When he didn't see the familiar face, his eyes came back to meet Blaise's gaze. "I rather enjoy these old films. I was thinking that you and I could come back next week, they're playing some Alfred Hitchcock." He had even picked out which movie he wanted to see, he thought he wanted to see Birds. The premise sounded promising enough.
🎥
"I'm not sure fruitless. I mean, I wouldn't mind watching her smack you around a bit," Blaise teased, eyes gleaming. He let Draco do the ordering once they were at the front of the line but he took out his wallet to pay again, not thinking anything of it. "I'd be willing to do it again, definitely, whenever you want to."
🎥
Draco was a bit different around Blaise, he was far more relaxed around his lover. While they may have only been together a short time, they had been friends for as long as Draco could remember. They had a special sort of bond, and it likely showed in relaxed he was as he leaned against Blaise, joking around with him. The smile he flashed the other man, when Blaise teased that he wouldn’t mind watching Adelaide smack him around, was one that not many got to see. It was full of warmth and reached all the way to his cold grey eyes, making them almost sparkle. “Maybe, eventually,” he whispered into the other man’s ear, just before he nipped at a spot just below the man’s ear. Draco didn’t seem to care that they were in line, as he let out a soft playful growl, before he did finally step away so that they could move up to the counter.
While Blaise paid, Draco was gathering up a few of their belongings. This was why he was all for his idea of the magical cinemas, that way he wouldn’t have to worry about carrying a thing. He could levitate everything without the muggles losing their minds. “It’s a date then, my treat this time,” he piped up, smirking just faintly. While it was true, he didn’t have nearly the wealth that he had had as a child, he was working at building his fortune back up. He thought it only fair that the pair trade off, though Draco didn’t the situation was anything the couple needed to fight over.
🎥
It took a little bit longer in the loo than she'd have preferred, but she looked fresher and far less queasy when she came back out, looking around for them before spotting them just walking away from the concessions counter balancing all their treats between the two of them. She made it up to them just in time to hear Draco saying something about a date and his treat. "A date, hmm? Are you two plotting shenanigans without me?" she asked teasingly as she held her hands out to take some of the snacks from them.
🎥
Blaise gave her a winning smile as Draco handed her a couple of things and then offered the petite woman his arm. "Draco is apparently bribing me to come to the cinema more often," he said it in a confiding tone.
He was careful not to let his long legs out pace her, and his other shoulder pressed, at least for the moment, against Draco's shoulder. "We were also debating seating arrangements but I told him that you probably had that figured out. I personally told him to go for it so you can smack him down," he added with a smirk.
🎥
Draco was more than happy to share the load, handing Addi her drink. He had the rest covered, the popcorns stacked, and boxes of candy stuffed into jacket pockets. He was getting better at this, though with the way the sno-caps were hanging out of his jacket pocket, it didn't look as though they'd make it to their seats. "I have to find some way to keep up with your mistress, if bribery is what it'll take.." Draco gave a playful shrug of his shoulders, chuckling softly. He knew he didn't actually need to bribe Blaise in order to get him away from work, he just had to pick his moment.
"I did already call dibs on picking our seats, besides I don't think she's got what it takes," he said it more as a challenge. He was doing his best to give her a challenging look that went with his words, but the look was ruined by the smile peeking through.
🎥
Addi glanced between the two men with a curious expression of amusement. "Mistress, hmm?" She wasn't sure just who are what Draco was referring to there, but she was amused nevertheless. "But I'm sure Draco comes up with the best bribes." And now she was trying to think up situations in which she could coax Draco into bribing her for things. She could play games when she really wanted to, and something told her Draco would enjoy those sorts of games.
"Hmm, I didn't already have it figured out, other than the same as last time, just making sure I've got easy access to duck out to the loo if I need to." She could see the challenge in Draco's expression, hear it in his tone, but she merely snorted a soft laugh, shaking her head. "You both should know I'm no sadist. If I'd had seats in mind and Draco chose different, I'd just sit where I wanted, and then you'd be forced to join me or make a scene picking me up and moving me," she pointed out with a little smirk.
🎥
Blaise snorted. "Never fear, principessa. You only have to battle the Prophet herself for my affections," he told her with a grin. "She has been my mistress lo these many years." He was pretty upfront about it. He could definitely be a workaholic, but people who cared, like Calypso and Draco, knew when to pull him away from it and into the real world when he sunk too far in.
"Oh, he definitely comes up with some good bribes," he said with a sage sort of nod.
He had to laugh softly, the rich sound following them into the dimmer theatre. "So not between us, then, Cherie?" he asked. "And see, Draco, I told you she'd smack you around. She wins, Slytherin smarts, hands down."
🎥
Things felt right, and Draco had a moment where he wondered why they hadn't done this before. He was enjoying listening to the two, smiling at Blaise's pet name for Adelaide. He rather enjoyed that one, and it was rather fitting, he thought.
Draco just chuckled when Blaise confirmed that Draco was good with bribery. His reply though wasn't polite for the general public, something about how he only used sex as bribery, but they had just entered the theater. Instead he decided to comment about her being a Slytherin. "I wouldn't consider that smacking me anywhere, she doesn't win. I think you just want to see her smack me around," he said, following them towards the seats.
🎥
It was on the tip of her tongue to point out that she would have to battle Draco too, but she held back because she knew that it was not only a ridiculous thought, it wasn't true. He and Draco were a couple, yes, but they were both clearly interested in spending time with her, and she didn't think it was going to become an issue where she would have to battle either of them to spend time with the other. "Then it is a good thing Draco has found the right bribes to lure you away from her from time to time. I'll have to get tips from him," she quipped, peeking over at Draco with a mischievous expression.
"I rather like being between you," she retorted before she could even thing to censor herself. Ah well, at least the images that accompanied the words were extremely pleasant ones. "Slytherin smarts, hmm?" She vaguely knew about the Hogwarts houses, but not nearly enough to catch the high compliment that it was coming from the clever Slytherin. "There will be no smacking around tonight, sorry boys. I'm a lover not a fighter." She let out a little huff, chin tilted upward stubbornly.
🎥
He didn't think there would have to be a battle between them for that. Some discussions at times, true. But he was all about communicating. He made sure to talk a lot with Draco, in hopes that this time he'd stay on the same page with a lover, especially since he cared so much about the man. He smirked at her. "Somehow I don't think you're going to have any trouble figuring out good bribes," he murmured.
"And I rather like you being between us," he agreed, a spark in his eyes. "Yes, and it's a compliment, I assure you," he said, though coming from a Gryffindor it probably wouldn't be.
"It's a total verbal smackdown, old chap," he bickered mildly. "You've been told." But then he smiled back at her, a finger tracing the line of her chin. "Come now, lover, let's get seated," he murmured, and he infused the word with just enough warmth to give it some meaning. He started easing in a good row, and he offered his hand to her if she needed it to steady herself. He knew Draco would be able to steady her on the other end if she needed it.
🎥
He flashed Adelaide a sly smile and wink when she mentioned getting tips, a chuckle leaving him when Blaise pointed out that he thought she’d be rather good at it on her own. Draco knew she would be rather good at it on her own as well, but he wasn’t about to turn down a reason to take her down to Blaise’s office and watch her seduce him. “I’ll show you the next time I need to drag him away, you’ll enjoy it,” he told her with a playful little smirk.
Draco rolled his eyes playfully at Blaise’s retort. “You’d think you, of all people, would know a verbal smackdown when you heard one,” he teased Blaise, another chuckle slipping from him. He left the seat on the end open for Adelaide, so that she could slip out if she needed. He then left the second seat open for Blaise, intending to put the popcorn into the man’s lap to share. Draco set the drink in the cup holder, before he went he slid into the third seat in. Before he slipped off his jacket, he passed the popcorn over to Blaise, and then slipped out of his jacket to settle in. The theater was significantly warmer than outside, and he wouldn’t need the warming charms while they watched the movie.
🎥
No, she wouldn't have any trouble coming up with bribes on her own, but she was extremely attracted to both of them and quite liked the idea of Draco "helping" her by showing her tips of how he managed to bribe Blaise away from his mistress. "Please do," she said to Draco, welcoming the mischief they could get up to.
Her eyes met Blaise's, a bit of warmth passing between them and making her wish for a moment that she wouldn't have put the brakes on for them to make it to the movie. But she pushed those thoughts away and instead focused on them all getting situated in their seats, the bickering between the two men another amusing distraction, especially when he called her lover, though maybe he was talking to Draco? But he'd been looking at her when he said it. And she really needed to stop those circling thoughts.
She was slightly disappointed to be on the end, not having been kidding about enjoying being between them, but it was the smartest spot for her if she needed to duck out to the loo. It wasn't long before the movie started, and she relaxed into the seat to watch it. Not long into it, she lifted the armrest between her and Blaise so that she could lean against him--better access to the popcorn, of course.
🎥
He had been intending to sandwich her between them despite the need for loo breaks, but shrugged to himself and didn't mind in the least being in the middle. He did take his jacket off and hand it to Draco to put on another seat.
He settled the popcorn on his lap and when she lifted the arm of the chair, he draped that arm over her shoulders and gathered her against his side. His other arm pressed companionably against Draco's as they both sporadically ate the popcorn. He made sure that she had easy access to it as well.
Occasionally his fingers played with the ends of her hair, and sometimes his head bent to one side or the other to murmur a quick something to one of his companions.
🎥
While the movie played, everyone seemed to settle easily into their seats. It didn't take long for Draco to move his own arm to slip along the back of Blaise's seat, draping it loosely around his lover. He leaned in each time he felt the other man moving to tip his head towards him, enjoying how comfortable the entire thing felt. There was a small voice there that whispered how Daphne never would have been able to do this. He was almost positive there would have been a fight about something, likely long before they even left for the show.
The movie wasn't bad, even though it clearly wasn't anywhere near the quality that Avatar had been. He was rather enjoying himself, this entire idea about opening their own wizarding cinema was sounding better and better. Especially if they could close down an entire theater for just the three of them, he thought.
🎥
The thing that struck Addi the most as she snacked on the treats while watching the movie with them was how ridiculously comfortable she was. She enjoyed the feel of Blaise's arm around her, his fingers occasionally playing with her hair, though she did feel a bit detached from Draco, which simply wouldn't do. About halfway through the movie, her bladder got the best of her, and she slipped out of her seat to duck into the loo. When she came back, she smiled when she saw that Blaise had slipped over to her seat, and as she moved past him to sit in his now-vacated seat, she stroked a hand lightly, affectionately over the side of his face.
Once she was settled back in, she brought her legs up and folded them in front of her, taking the popcorn bucket and propping it on her folded legs, relieved that her protruding belly wasn't completely in the way just yet. She wasn't particularly hungry anymore though, so she let her hands drift to the laps on either side of her, resting lightly on each of their thighs and welcoming them holding her hands if they wished.
🎥
When she got up to use the loo, Blaise took a moment to press a kiss to the corner of Draco's mouth, and then with a look and a cheeky grin he scooted over to reconfigure their set up. He thought her bladder could probably handle the second half the movie squished between them. When she slipped back in, he gave her a warm smile as she touched his cheek.
Once they all got comfortable again, he draped his arm once more over her, and his hand managed to touch Draco's shoulder, a comfortable connection for him. His other hand found hers on his leg, fingers slipping between hers, his palm to the back of her hand, to hold it comfortably. He wasn't very hungry at this point, and was more than content just to watch the movie and enjoy the warmth of their company.
🎥
Draco had missed when Adelaide got up, it had been that kiss to the corner of his mouth that had drew his attention away from the picture. A soft laugh left him, shaking his head at the other man. Blaise was always so smooth, something that no matter how much Draco watched the man hunt, he was unable to replicate.
It was as Adelaide came back to the seat that Draco felt his anxiety start prickling just under his skin. It was the way she had stroked her hand over Blaise's face, how natural it had looked. It was the way she had slid into that seat between them, how easily not just Blaise's hand found hers, but how easily his own found her petite hand. It was in that moment that he realized just what courting Adelaide would mean, as the back of his knuckles brushed over her little bump that he still found just as adorable as he had before they'd left for the cinema.
His anxiety settled as Blaise's hand touched his shoulder. He didn't need to have all of the answers just now, and he didn't have to be the only one with all of the answers. She had just broken up with the father of her child, he was likely putting the cart ahead of the horse, he reminded himself. Instead of ruining the moment, he settled in to enjoy the rest of the movie.
🎥
The movie was a cute one, but she'd already known it would be; her parents had been fans of old Hollywood and had raised her and her sisters watching these movies, probably hoping to instill even more of that old time romanticism in them. Addi loved them most for the fashion, though she didn't think anyone would be surprised by that. By the time the movie finished, however, she was feeling extremely relaxed and just a bit sleepy, enough that at some point her head had drifted to Draco's shoulder, though she had at least managed to keep her eyes opened.
When the movie ended and the lights slightly came back, she sat back up and smiled at each of them. "Well, what did you think?" she asked them both, not quite ready to get up just yet. She was hoping she wouldn't have to use the loo again before they left the theatre.
🎥
Blaise tended to be the one who anchored and calmed. He definitely was when it came to Draco, especially when the full moon came around. He had the ability to be as calm and steady as a rock most of the time. The same well that held the deep passion he was easily capable of also held a deep well of control and calm that could be communicated to others.
He relaxed easily as he watched the movie, enjoying it both for the romanticized plot as well as the aesthetics, which were always something he noticed. He raised Addi's hand after the credits started rolling, brushing lips lightly over the knuckles that peeked out from between his. "I definitely enjoyed it," he said.
🎥
Draco was enjoying these cinema experiences. He was enjoying these old movies just as much as he had enjoyed watching Avatar with Adelaide just a few weeks prior. At some point during the movie he had finally let himself just enjoy the moment, there was no more ridiculous worries that had plagued him in that moment of insecurity. It was for that reason that once Adelaide laid her head on his shoulder, he hadn’t thought twice about turning his head to press a kiss to the top of her head, and though grey eyes never left the screen in front of them, he squeezed her hand that was in his.
When the lights came up, completely unintentional, Draco let out a lazy little yawn. Brows perked though at her question, and an equally lazy smile graced his lips. “It was very good. I wonder if we might be able to pick up a copy for home,” he mused out loud. He already had dreams of making their own home cinema, this date just helping cement the idea.
🎥
Between the two of them, she felt like a ridiculous fluttery mess, and she knew it was in part because of her out-of-whack hormones. Addi didn't want to jump headfirst into something with them, if only because of all the changes in her life with the baby and h er recent breakup, but with the way they both were with her, it was difficult to remember that. They made it easy for her to imagine how easy it would be to slip into that role with them, and a part of her really did want it.
She pushed those thoughts aside though and instead just focused on the here and now. She smiled at both of them, holding the popcorn bucket out for one of them to take so she could stand up. It was a little awkward, her body having gone a bit stiff from sitting the way she had, and she knew it would only get more awkward the further along she got; she wasn't looking forward to that part of the pregnancy. "I'm sure we can find you a copy, if not in a shop, then online." She highly doubted they'd be able to find it in a shop, but she would be surprised if they couldn't find it online. Her hands smoothed down her dress, rubbing lightly over her rounded stomach as they headed out of the theater.
🎥
Blaise helped each of them into their coats before they went outside, fingers lingering on both. But also light upon Addi, still respectful. Not distanced as he had been, but willing to be patient. He better than Draco knew pregnancy and its vagaries, having been raised in a woman's household and such. He also had always been the more patient of the two.
He offered Adelaide his arm if she needed it. "I'm certain we can find it as well. It will just take some looking, and that I leave to the more knowledgeable among us," he said, smiling over at Adelaide. He was familiar enough with the internet and its uses but he knew she knew it better than him, on the muggle end at least.
"Where to?" he asked. "I was thinking a mug of tea back at the house, but what say you both?"
🎥
"I've just learned to use my phone for more than just messaging people and calling them, I don't think I could handle the internet," he admitted without any shame. There was a time when he never would have admitted to something like that, and there were certain circles he still wouldn't admit to not knowing something. Draco felt safe in current company to let his guard down, something he didn't want to poke too closely at.
The mention of tea sounded fantastic, and he quickly nodded his head. "That sounds wonderful. Will you take us home?"
🎥
Although she didn't know him well enough to know for sure, she got the impression that Draco wouldn't have been quite so honest with just anyone, and she enjoyed the thought that he was, perhaps, rather comfortable with her. "We'll get you there eventually," she promised him, squeezing his hand lightly. It still boggled her mind a bit just how far behind the magical world was when it came to technology, but they did seem to be making headway with it.
"Tea does sound lovely, oui," she echoed Draco, and then she tucked herself against Blaise's side so that he could apparate them back to their home. Once they were there, she let them know she was going to duck into the loo, but she was back out a minute later.
Addi had her jacket folded over one arm as she came back into the sitting room, and she set it over the back of a chair before moving around a small table to sit on the couch. "You don't mind if I take my boots off, do you?" she asked them. She probably shouldn't get too comfortable, she knew, as she really should be going back home soon. As much fun as she knew it would be, she still didn't want to rush anything.
🎥
Blaise apparated them both back to the house, into their sitting room, in fact, a nice cozy place that had the most chance of remaining private, though he had an open enough policy with his sister and Theo. "No, please. Get comfortable. Our home is at your disposal."
Blaise shrugged off his own jacket and took a moment to order tea from Buona, who would have it ready and delivered shortly. He also took off his shoes, as comfortable as he usually got out here unless there were ... shenanigans going on or he were in a hurry to change. Or he was tempting Draco. He shared a glance at his lover, a question to see who was going to get to sit next to their guest and who would sit in the chair nearby.
🎥
Draco followed Blaise's lead, slipping out of his own trainers, and hanging up his jacket. The look confused Draco for a moment, he always defaulted himself to the chair, he was the one that enjoyed being able to sit in the shadows and watch the chemistry. He enjoyed being able to catch the small moments that he always missed when he was the one seated on the couch next to the beautiful woman. It was ridiculous, but it was one of the things that he truly enjoyed. A wide smile graced his lips, and as he made his way over to the chair, he paused to reach his hand out to playfully squeeze Blaise's hand. Draco wanted to watch the sparks, that he could feel, while they enjoyed tea.
🎥
At Blaise's insistence that she make herself comfortable, Addi leaned down a bit to take her boots off, having to twist her torso around just a bit to accommodate her growing bump. It wasn't so big yet as to get completely in the way, but she was having to make small adjustments here and there. She grinned over at Draco as he sat in the chair, the comment on the tip of her tongue that they were going to need to invest in a bigger couch. There was no reason to go making comments like that just yet.
She was just settling back against the cushion when Blaise sat next to her, and so she shifted again, bringing her feet up and tucking them under her as she leaned against him. She had always been a highly tactile person, and it was no different now. As the tea arrived, she caught sight of the flowers Draco had made for her again, and her smile warmed even more. "Those flowers really are beautiful, Draco, thank you," she said as she took her cup of tea.
🎥
Blaise smiled warmly at Draco, knowing his reasons for sitting on the chair instead, and the dark man draped his arm over Addi comfortably as he had at the theater, cuddling her against him even as the tea appeared, his own floating obligingly over to him. He murmured a nearly inaudible thanks to Buona before sipping at it with a satisfied sigh.
"Draco is very good with his hands," Blaise said, the double entendre intended but lowkey. "You should see some of his furniture. He made the desk in my office here at the house, I'll have to show it to you sometime."
🎥
Draco smiled at the compliments, a soft chuckle leaving him at Blaise's. "I'm rather proud of that desk," he admitted. It had been one of the first large projects he had worked on, with Pandora's help. He had never put so much charm work into something, and with all the hidden compartments that were in the desk, it truly was a beautiful thing.
He brought his tea up to take a sip from, relaxing into the moment. There was something so comfortable about it all, sitting here with Blaise and Addi.
🎥
"I'd love..." A rather large yawn interrupted her reply, and she laughed softly as she came out of it before trying again. "I'd love to see it," she told Blaise, turning her head briefly to smile at him before resting her head against his shoulder again. He really was so comfortable. She thought again that they needed a bigger couch though--she really wished Draco was sitting on her other side, so she could tuck herself between them.
She'd only drank half her cup of tea by the time her eyes started drooping heavily, falling asleep against Blaise. She felt safe and comfortable with them, enough to let her guard down in this way, though it wasn't a conscious decision.
🎥
Blaise jostled Addi gently, his hand swooping in to take her tea before she accidentally spilled any of it. "You want one of us to Apparate you home?" he said, a finger tilting her chin up to look at him when her eyes blinked slowly open again. She really was so pretty, and he smiled indulgently at her.
She was cute when she sleepily waved a hand and said, "Can't... wards."
Ahh. Well, that made some sense that her sister at least would make sure she had a good set. "Come to bed then," he said, sharing a glance with Draco. It was obvious that sleep was all that was on the agenda, but he wasn't really upset. Not that it wouldn't be great, but he felt rather protective at the moment. "We've extra rooms, if you'd like." Or, he thought as he smiled at them both, he didn't mind if they all shared.
🎥
The only words that pierced through her tired were Apparate and home, and it was enough for her to remember that they couldn't Apparate her home because of Dora's wards, and she really should do something about that at some point. Her eyes were tired slits, and she waved a hand sleepily. "Can't... wards," she managed to say.
She was nodding tiredly, agreeing with his directive to come to bed. Yes, bed sounded lovely, particularly his bed, especially if she got to be sandwiched between the two of them, holding her and keeping her warm. It was such a pleasant thought that her lips curved up and her eyes opened just a little more. "Extra rooms? But yours is so close," she pointed out before yawning, bringing a hand up to cover her mouth.
🎥
"All right, love, if you're both good with it," he said indulgently, though he was rather sure that Draco wasn't going to disagree.
The tall man rose and then leaned down, scooping her up into his arms with care, and then smiled at his lover. "To bed, darling," he drawled and led the way in there.
Once there, he helped her out of a few of her things and helped her into the more than adequately sized bed, and then playfully undid Draco's shirt as well before changing into a pair of lounge pants himself.
Then he crawled in on one side of her.
🎥
It wasn't until Blaise told him to bed, that he realized he was invited to the cuddle puddle. He had been just getting up to head to his own room, to give them their privacy, and so instead of walking across the room to his door, he went in the opposite direction and followed Blaise into the familiar room.
A chest rumbling laugh slipped from him when Blaise playfully helped with his own shirt, and instead of just summing some lounge pants from his own room, he swiped a pair of Blaise's before changing to climb into the bed on the other side of her. This was new, they had never shared a bed with a woman just to sleep like this. Sure, he'd woken a few times to Calypso's dark haired mop curled up with Blaise, but that was different. It was Blaise's sister, and she was always looking for reassurances from her big brother, and not cuddling up to the two of them. This was different, and felt so much more intimate than if they had just taken her to bed.
Trying to not ruin the moment by overthinking the entire thing, he shifted enough to slip closer to Adelaide so that once they were all snug, he'd be able to slip an arm around her and be able to still touch Blaise. A soft yawn slipped from him as he was moving, a soft chuckle leaving him. "This bed is far too comfortable, I wasn't tired before we got in," he admitted in a soft voice just in case Adelaide had already drifted off to sleep.
🎥
Addi curled against Blaise with a happy sigh when he scooped her up, ginning when they reached his bedroom and he helped her out of some things so that she would be able to sleep comfortably. Her maternity clothes were ridiculously comfortable, otherwise she'd have followed Draco's lead and snagged something of Blaise's to wear to bed. Or perhaps even Draco's discarded shirt, which would likely be warm and filled with his scent. Another night, perhaps, and it was highly likely that in time she would steal a shirt from each of them to keep at home, and she didn't care how ridiculously cliche that was.
With Blaise spooning her from behind and Draco curled up in front of her, close enough that he was able to reach Blaise behind her, Addi felt warm and safe and definitely like this was a level of intimacy she hadn't expected when she'd gone to the movie with them earlier. It was good, though, better even, because even though she knew she'd very much enjoy exploring the sexual chemistry between them again, this moment gave her hope that there could be more than that between the three of them.
Her eyes had closed, her breathing slowly evening out, but when Draco chuckled and then spoke, her lips curved up in a smile, her eyes opening enough to peek at him. Without a word, she leaned her head in enough to brush her lips against his softly, a good night kiss of sorts, and then settled back against the pillow to succumb to sleep.
