His little quip got the desired response, a soft giggle and her lips curving up a bit at the corners. She could imagine that he was a man who prided himself on being right, the sort that didn't fly off the handle, saying whatever came to mind.
"I will, and you will," Adelaide promised. She needed to deal with some things in her life, hopefully before she saw him again, but she fully intended to see him again. Probably not before she met up with them for the cinema on the tenth, but that would give her time to figure things out. "I'll text you when I get home," she told him, not wanting him to worry. Smiling, she opened the bracelet and slid it on her wrist before closing the box back up, enjoying the weight of it there, and then she closed the distance between them again, leaning up to brush her lips against his cheek. "Good night, Blaise," she whispered before backing away from him again and turning to head back down the hall to go out for a cab.
