He wasn't explaining anything, and though that frustrated her, she knew she had no right to demand answers. She wasn't in a relationship with them and had, in fact, just betrayed the person she was supposed to be in a relationship with. But then he was kissing her, and she sighed softly into the gentle press of his lips, leaning up against him.
As much as she wanted to stay right there and snog him, she'd caught that he'd planned to leave too, and she forced herself to break the kiss, taking a small step back. "I should go," she said softly. She didn't really feel like staying at the party now, and it wasn't like she even wanted to ring in the new year with her actual boyfriend. She rather thought she'd go home, change into pajamas and pout her troubles away into a bowl of ice cream.
