She leaned into his embrace as she felt his arm firm around her. It sounded as if Blaise were going to be leaving too, and she felt a pang of disappointment course through her. It was wrong and stupid to feel that way considering the circumstances, she knew, but she couldn't stop it.
"I... don't understand," she admitted, hating doing so, even as her head tilted against his hand. Her eyes closed then, and she knew she needed to step back, to separate herself from this entire situation, and make a bloody decision. Instead, her eyes opened and met his dark orbs, staying in the circle of his embrace.
