For that brief moment she seemed preoccupied, and he did follow her gaze this time, finding Higgs in the crowd easily enough. It sent a wave of frustration through him, but he tried to keep it off his face. It wasn't her fault he had these issues, after all; he'd failed to pursue her when he'd had the chance, and it wasn't like he could fault Higgs for jumping on the opportunity while he could.
"There is, yes," he agreed with a faint smile. He wasn't a big fan of champagne, but it was the popular drink of the night. Still, he took her answer to heart and swept her into a twirl as they started dancing to the more upbeat song, his smile relaxing into something warmer.
About halfway through the song, he noticed a few bundles of mistletoe floating above the crowd's heads on the dance floor, almost as if searching pairs out. When he saw one bundle settle above one couples' heads, following their movements, he realized that was exactly what was going on, and he chuckled, shaking his head. He hadn't realized yet that there was a bundle hovering about him and Silvie. Instead, he twirled Silvie away from him and then back, holding her against his body with his arm around her for a moment. "Look, mistletoe," he said near her hear, using his free hand to point to the other pair that had been 'chosen' by the plant.
