"Good. Because I don't want to fight with any of my children at this point." Though if what she'd heard about her youngest son was true, she was rather disappointed in him lately. But she had known exactly what approaching him would get her, so she'd had to choose to simply make herself available on days like today.
"And I would love to know. I'm not terribly fond of surprises. I'm rather sure the curiosity runs in the family." She thought she knew, for she was an observant woman, but she would like to go through the little tradition of it. "I've been babysitting some for Pandora recently," she said delicately as she took a cake pop. "I know you'll see some resistance in that arena, but I was hoping I could at least visit with the baby sometimes."
She took a bite of the pop and chewed, but her eyes were smiling as she looked at the colour of the cake. "Oh, a girl. Congratulations," she said.
