"All right, Eugenia," she replied, the manners of her upbringing showing as she kept her smile in place even as the grandmother of her unborn child looked her over. And at the offered hand, she reached her own out and gave hers a firm, friendly shake.
That was a rather pointed statement, and Addi barely resisted rolling her eyes at it. "I'd like to make this clear right from the start: Phillip's issues are not my issues. I am pregnant with your grandchild, and family matters more than anything to me." She smiled then and held out one of the cake pops. "Would you like to know if you're having another grandson or granddaughter?" she offered, hoping that no one had spoiled the surprise for her.
