Addi and Eugenia
Most of the people at today's Christmas party already knew she was having a girl, so Addi had decided she wanted to do something a little less flashy for the announcement here, and she'd made sure to ask everyone not to say anything to anyone else about it until after Christmas was over. When she'd gone home to Provence last night, she'd asked her mum to help her make some cake pops, enough for everyone, with pink cake in the middle and a simple white frosting on the outside. She'd given one to Dora as soon as she'd arrived, feeling just a bit guilty at having gotten her help with the orb she'd used for the reveal yesterday without the other woman being there to see the fruits of her labor.
When the Montgomery matriarch arrived, Adelaide fought to keep her nerves at bay. Whatever was going on with Phillip, the woman was the grandmother to her unborn child, and she wanted to meet the woman, perhaps even have a conversation with her. And so, armed with only a couple cake pops held in one hand, she made her way over to Eugenia, smoothing the back of her skirt down with her free hand before sitting near her.
"Madam Montgomery," she greeted her, hoping her smile was warm and not showing her nerves. "I'm Adelaide de Blacas d'Aulps," she introduced herself. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you." Despite Phillip's contentious feelings toward his mother, she did genuinely mean that.
