He was pleased to hear the word 'court.' To him, it had serious connotations instead of just frivolous fun ones. And to him, with Adelaide pregnant... if they were to get involved with her if she broke up with Phillip, he instinctively knew it wouldn't be just frivolous fun. "It would be fun," he said with a nod. "I think she would fit in with the two of us very well." Blaise saw something in her that made him think she could balance them in ways that someone like Daphne couldn't.
"Just because you thought you had the right idea, love, doesn't mean it wasn't a good thing to do at the time," he said quietly. "Things... hurt when they don't line up. I know how it goes. But we can't let it stop us either." It wasn't wrong that he'd started something with her, especially given all of those old feelings.
He realied as Draco spoke that there was more underneath everything, and Blaise stopped to give him his full attention, heedless of who might overhear. His smile grew slightly lopsided and loving. he knew that even when they'd just been friends, he'd been in Draco's future. He'd never once doubted that portion of proceedings. He kissed him back gently, and cupped the back of his head when they parted. "I think you're saying things just fine," he told him.
