Addi and Phillip - post-party
After everyone had gone, leaving just Adelaide and Phillip in the cottage, Addi felt her anxiety spike again, unsure how things would go without anyone about. Filled with nervous energy, she moved around the first floor of the cottage, tidying up as she went, though nothing was terribly messy. If she stopped, she might be forced to look at him, to talk to him, to think about what had happened, and her heart clenched at the thought of any of those things. She wanted to cry again, to scream and throw things in a fit, though she was in fact mature enough to recognize none of those things would solve anything and would, in all likelihood, make things worse.
She was only wishing they'd planned this dinner party for Friday so she could have escaped to Provence for the weekend, to get some space from the whole situation and clear her mind and maybe even cry to her mum about it all. She might still do it, she decided, this coming weekend, if she was still feeling so upset about it all.
Blowing out a breath and shaking her head as if to dispel the thoughts plaguing her, Addi bent to retrieve the art supplies Auri had played with earlier, intending to put it all away in the den.
