It had been a while since Alec had been to the Leaky Cauldron. In his single days, it had been a frequent after-work preoccupation, stopping in for a pint to unwind and get his mind off his patients after a long day. Married life had more or less come up with a built-in remedy for the frequent fatigue that accompanied long sessions spent within the minds of others, and the occasional pint had no longer been strictly speaking necessary-- and even less so now that Nora was home all the time.
Today, however, she was hanging out with Dora, and Alec had decided to embrace his pre-marital ritual for the afternoon, happily settling into his seat behind the bar following his greeting of Hannah and taking a long sip of his ale. "Better than the gossip rags would lead you to believe," he chuckled. "But I know she'd love it if you stopped by. How have you and Ernie been?"
