Tate, as well as Art, had been spending the past few days with Eli, a friend of his from school. Eli had just moved to London and Tate was helping him settle in. He couldn’t bring himself to leave Art at the flat alone however after he worked all morning, he felt guilty and since Eli understood he was able to bring Art. Something happened that he didn’t expect the first day he was home with Art alone and had no plans with Eli. Art had missed Persephone, which had become glaringly obviously when the little mop of a dog went straight into the woman’s room when Tate let him out of his bedroom after work.
“Art!” He shouted as the dog yipped, black tail disappearing through the doorway that he had slipped through. Tate took off after the dog, not even thinking twice as he stepped into her room so that he could make a grab for the little dog. He was just a few inches short though, little black tail slipping through Tate’s fingers as he slipped into the closet and Tate was left groaning.
“We’re not supposed to be in here! You’re breaking all of the good roommate rules right now.” He was just thankful that Perse didn’t seem to be home, he had only realized after he had ran into her room that she wasn’t there. He hoped she wasn’t there at least, and not just in the loo listening to the interaction going on in her bedroom right now.
Art was buried in her closet, having nosed open the door while Tate had been taking in the room to be sure Persephone wasn’t there. He seemed to have curled up in the back of it and Tate was calling for the dog to try to get it out. He couldn’t go through her closet, that would definitely be invading her privacy. “Art, will you get out here.” He called out, patting his leg in an attempt to entice the pup out. “Come on, I promise I’ll let you play with her as soon as she gets home.”
