Re: Quin and Gen
Gen wrinkled her nose at that and then sighed, shrugging her shoulders. "I know that, but I never wanted to wait until I was that much older," she admitted. Honestly, she'd hoped to start a family around thirty, and she'd felt she was one her way to it with Coop, but things had gotten so bad with him, that she'd been derailed. But Quin was right, this wasn't something she needed to rush into with just anyone so that she could have babies. She would get there in time, and she did want to make sure it was with the right person. "But I promise, I won't have kids until I'm married, and I won't marry someone I'm not madly in love with." She felt a pang at that, but she worked hard to ignore it.
Quin wasn't wrong about that, but she wasn't going to stress about that at this early stage. Oliver wanted a family, and she was willing to give him a chance, to see if that could be a journey they could go on together eventually. It wasn't something she was going to rush, though. "I will go and have fun and do my best not to get in over my head," she promised, smiling now as Fee tried to wiggle off her lap, seemingly wanting to go play with his sister in the water. "Can he go in with them? Geoffrey will take great care," she promised, though she would understand if Quin wasn't comfortable with the thought, even with them sitting there watching.
