Re: Quin and Gen
Leave it to Quin to get right to the heart of the problem. It was part of why she'd taken to the other woman despite her shyness. She was a caring, generous, no bullshit person, even if Gen got the sense that Quin struggled to apply those things to herself. "No," she answered immediately, no hesitation in her expression or the word. "And that's why when he kissed me good night, I stopped him and turned him away. I can't go back to that. Especially not..." It was on the tip of her tongue to bring up children, about the baby she'd almost had but that had been stolen away from her before it had really had a chance to be, but she didn't want to keep that pain at the surface.
She sighed, then, sitting up a bit more to give Fee some good snuggles. "And that's not even taking into account Oliver visiting me earlier in the week." Which was a can of worms, she knew, as Quin did not really approve of Oliver's behavior. Neither had she, frankly, but she did understand that he had been in a strange sort of place with Romi, and she was attracted to and curious enough about him to give this whole Australia thing a shot. And he had recovered things quite well yesterday when they'd been texting. "I have no idea where things will go with him, but he invited me to go to Australia with him. I told him I couldn't right away, but that I'd join him there on the 5th," she admitted to Quin, a small smile on her lips. She was cautiously excited about it.
