Lance/Addi
Lancelot had been chatting with Gen’s father for a bit now. He knew he should have been more worried about the fact that he seemed to get along with Quin’s, friend’s, father. He knew it was an age thing that was, mostly, in his own head. Quin wasn’t much younger than him, though he felt older all the time. She looked so young and vibrant, he always seemed to see himself as the old man. She made him feel incredibly young though, more often than he realized. Since they had moved in together he had been content and happy to just go about their new routine. He worked in the mornings at the library, his nights were spent with the children and Quin.
Since Lance was unfamiliar with the area he had been talking to Gen’s father about the local history. He couldn’t help it, he loved places like this that were rich in history and even celebrated it. He so wished they would have been able to get there just the day before, it had been one of the celebrations he would have loved to see. It had sounded like a fantastic night, he’d have to be sure that they made it to another such event at some point before the year was over.
He was just turning to look for Quin and the kids, he always liked to keep an eye on them just briefly. It was a ridiculous thing that he had recently started doing, always checking on them from time to time. As he was about to turn his attention back to the other man, his eyes caught those of Gen’s sister. Adelaide, he thought? Or maybe it was Adeline? He couldn’t be sure, so he just smiled politely. “How are you, my dear?” He brought his cup to his lips then to take a sip, “I don’t know if we’ve been formally introduced at all. I’m Lancelot Cadawallder, Quin’s uh..” Well, what was he? Live in boyfriend, not fiancé even if she wore a ring that looked like it, and well. He supposed to that summed it, he was Quin’s. “Quin’s Lance, I guess.” He chuckled, “Boyfriend doesn’t seem to cover it properly.”
