Hearing that Addi agreed it was a good idea made him feel significantly better about his plan. He gave a chuckle at Addi’s words, “I’ve yet to meet the letter,” He admitted with a slight shrug, “I did know she’s connected to each sibling. He sent me a message about her knowing his brother too, he really is getting it from every side. He seems serious about it, even if they’ve only been together a few weeks. He’s coming around to my way of thinking.” Which actually made Cooper a little proud, he knew that he had nothing to do with it. His monogamy had never bothered Hyperion, let alone slowed him down with his dating life. It still gave him hope that he’d one day have the dream. Sunday mornings on the front porch of his home while his and Hype’s children played in the yard, beating each other with foam beaters bats and things.
Coop gave a soft chuckle, a relief flooding him at hearing that there wasn’t anything he really needed to worry about. “Thank you, for being a little spy. I won’t betray your confidence.” He even flashed her a wink. “Now that I know that I’m not totally out of my tree, tell me what you’ve been up to? What made you decide you wanted to come to London?” He already was feeling comfortable with Addi again, already even tossing around the idea of sending her a message once he was home to just check in. It didn’t seem so completely off limits anymore.
"The letter?!" Addi repeated, laughing as if that was the funniest thing she'd heard in ages. She was going to have to remember to text Zee about that nickname! "Poor Hype, but that's great! I mean, for people who want that sort of thing. Don't start expecting me to go all lovey dovey monogamous anytime soon," she said teasingly. She was far too wild for that, and she wasn't sure she'd ever want to slow down enough to be with only one person for the rest of her life, no matter how amazing that person was.
Addi smirked at being called a little spy, knowing that Gen would be frustrated with her, but also that she wouldn't be surprised. "She'll know it was me, even if you don't tell her," she pointed out with a light laugh. Gen had a way of knowing when she would meddle in things, so she really should just expect it by now. "I'm just... like, jittery? I don't know! I'm itching for a change, for somewhere new," she answered, wrinkling her nose a bit. She loved Paris, but she was itching for something different.
See? This was why Addi was his favorite, she got his ridiculous jokes! She even enjoyed them. He gave a chuckle and nodded his head. “The letter. He calls her Zee? The letter. I assume the girl has a full name but he’s not said, I don’t think.” He knew her family owned Honeydukes and really.. He only knew the basics. He knew he should be married and be getting dirt from Addi, but he was going to trust Hype for now. He’d pump Addi for information later, if she was up for it. “Don’t feel too bad for him, I think the man enjoys it sometimes,” he said with a chuckle.
“Well, it is very new. There’s also a Gen and a Cooper there, just in case you didn’t know.” He gave a shrug, because to him that was the important part. There was a Gen and a Coop. He continued to dance them around the room then, dipping her in another dip. “By the way, don’t knock the monogamy. It’ll bite you in the ass when you’re not expecting it.” Coop had dreams of seeing Addi married, much the same ones he had for Em. He wanted to see both women settle down someday, even if it was just one man or woman that they married, but they still had their other lovers. He just wanted to see them happy, maybe with a few nieces of nephews. He knew that wasn’t everyone’s happiness though, so he never pushed them too hard. He just didn’t understand it sometimes.
