RP: A lazy Monday at V-Bar Who: Lisa + OPEN When: Monday afternoon Where: V-Bar What: Lunch is dying down... Warnings: None
The lunch crowd had died down and Lisa sat behind the bar with a new book. It was a YA fiction about heroes and Greek myths and was the final in a series she'd been gobbling up recently. The lunch special had been a big hit, a chicken patty melt of some sort, and she heard Paul humming contentedly to himself in the kitchen over the din of the bar.
Afternoons like this were both a blessing and a curse. Nice and calm, but Lisa found herself bored. The bar was clean, the people were happy, so there was nothing for her to do. With Rose on full time now, there was less paperwork for her to worry about, and Leslie had been an incredible addition to the staff last year. Lisa felt restless. V-Bar was her life. The success of the bar over the years had been a great surprise but she also wasn't sure she saw herself always running a bar. Lisa had never made any secret of the fact that she wanted more. She wanted a life. Not one that revolved around work. And so she contented herself with books and fantasy and hoped that someday, there would more. Shaking herself free of those thoughts, she went back to her book, figuring if anyone needed anything, they'd interrupt her.
