"I wish I could too. Well..." she ran a hand through her hair and contemplated what she wanted to do in the summer, "...I was going to take a couple courses over the summer but, feeling like this. I don't think I can." Even after saying it, she felt some kind of weight lift off of her shoulders. Her healer might even suggest it, vehemently. "That way, I can work a regular schedule and not worry about anything else."
It did hurt, but then she'd built herself up so much so she wouldn't be shocked if the tests were positive. They were both right though, it wasn't the right time for children. Ernie's promise filled her with hope and smiling at him, she reached forward and brushed her thumb on his cheek. "One day," she said in agreement, nodding.
"But I love your dark curls." Laughter bubbled out of her for the first time that day when he'd gently tugged on her wavy, blonde hair. Hannah kissed him back softly and nodded in agreement. "I'll go and lie down. I can't promise I'll be awake once the tea's ready though." It felt as if it were midnight to her, though it couldn't have been past 4 in the afternoon. "Thank you, love. I don't know what I'd do without you."
