Ernie nodded when she brought up the memory, if only because he had been just as concerned then as he was now. He hadn't been able to see her for a while, but he tried not to be too concerned. After all, the school healer was one of the absolute best. "That makes sense then... too much stress. Sometimes I wish you could take some time off school, but I know that's not exactly a possibility right now," he mentioned with a shrug. At her invitation to at least participate in going to the appointment, he nodded in agreement, figuring he was more than able to at least provide moral support, and perhaps take her out for lunch or something afterwards. His treat. Plus, it had been a while since they managed a day date..
Those thoughts fled his mind though as she began answering his question, and his brows knit together for a moment at her disappointment, and perhaps even further at the same question aimed back in his direction. He was silent for a small moment, trying to gather his thoughts together before actually saying them aloud.
"I've always seen my future with children, and it is something I want. If it happens, you're more than right, we would make due. But I think with everything going on right now, it would be best to wait. The picture disappearing... I can see that hurting.." he stepped closer so he could kneel down in front of her, smiling when he was closer to her face. "But it will happen one day, Han. When we're ready. I absolutely promise you that, yeah?"
And after a moment, "And who is to say they'll inherit this mess of curls? I think they'd be better off with your pretty locks," he teased lightly, tugging gently and affectionately at the ends of her hair before pressing a soft kiss to her lips. "Now... tea? You need to relax, love."
