Dora wasn't completely surprised to be ignored, it only gave her the sense that something horrible was definitely wrong. Her heart already ached for whatever it was, even though she didn't know. She hated to see Nora hurting, they'd both done more than enough of it in their lives, and Nora more than she should of late.
So instead of saying something snarky or getting upset, Dora just climbed up onto the bed with a soft ooph -- so much was starting to become more awkward than normal -- and crawled over to flop directly next to Nora, careful not to squish her in any way. But her arm went over the slim form and her cheek pressed to Nora's shoulder as she hugged her.
