Melinda wasn’t trying to judge. She really wasn’t, but it was hard, considering how Oliver’s actions right now just disappointed her. It wasn’t a slight against Gen; she couldn’t in any way be held accountable for what he did. The whole situation just didn’t sit right with her.
“Oh, I don’t want to ever see either of you do anything like that again,” Melinda sighed, the tension and fear from that moment making a brief return. Of course, what she had feared would happen during that switch hadn’t happened until later, and she had watched Viktor and Terence hit the ground with far too much force. She never wanted to witness anything like that again. Cooper, however, was the topic at hand, so Melinda pushed her concerns aside and took Tsveta’s hand to help her into the chair and made sure she was comfortable, before she herself took a seat. “He misses his friend?” she asked, believing Gen though not really buying Cooper’s excuse for reaching out. “What do you think about that?”
