If only Melinda could do this every week. For those two days a week when she could, theoretically, wear nail polish, she would rather spend time with friends and family than be at a spa. Of course, she had a hard time saying no if a customer needed to see her during those days off, but right now, it was the best time of the week.
“Can we, Melinda? Please?” Tsveta gushed tugging on Melinda’s hand, though Melinda could see she was on the verge of bouncing with excitement. “You and Pappa and Misha can definitely go,” Melinda assured her, and before Tsveta could object, she continued, “and I promise to do everything I can to free up some extra days so I can go with you. If not, I’ll come spend the weekend with you, that’s for sure.” Giving in to the urge to bounce, the little girl set off down the hall ahead of them.
“Well,” Melinda chuckled and directed her attention to Gen. “Considering the latest edition, I don’t think you’d ask like this if it was Oliver…”
