If only she could do this every week! Someday, whenever she decided to retire, Gen was determined that this would be a weekly excursion. God knew she could afford it, as she'd managed her money well, being more of an experiences person rather than a things person. Maybe then, the Bridie would finally give up on speculating about her love life. Somehow she didn't think she would be so lucky. But she wasn't this bitter person, and she'd dealt with the press for far too long to let this particular foe turn her into one!
"Yes! I'll be there a little over two weeks, I think. Maybe longer? I can never tell for sure until I'm there," she admitted with a little laugh as they started making their way out of the locker room. They would be getting pedicures first. "And of course you two and Viktor and Mikhail are more than welcome to come for a visit! You know how my mum and papa enjoy entertaining." Her mum more than papa, but he humored her mother anyway.
A technician met them outside the locker rooms and led them around to a row of pedicure spa chairs that looked plush and comfy enough to sink into. "You'll never believe who's been texting me off and on this week," she said as she settled into one of the chairs. She wouldn't get into too heavy of details about her love life with Tsveta there, but the little girl knew she had been dating and living with Cooper and that the relationship had ended just before the holidays, so she didn't think it would be traumatizing to at least touch on it a little bit.
