It was starting to feel like there was a point she should be getting, something that wasn't being said. Oh, she wasn't stupid, she knew what a mess the headlines could be with her having a drink with Puddlemere, but she supposed that she was just more used to the Magpies' method of dealing with it, which was to accept that people would make assumptions anyway and not let it stop you from living.
"That sounds exhausting," she commented. She could understand, in a peripheral way, why Puddlemere was so heavily organized in their PR, but it sounded so very suffocating.
Gen nodded at the question, taking a sip of the martini before answering. It really was quite good. Plus it had a higher alcohol content, which she was suddenly craving. "Oui, we do. We're very close, though perhaps not as much as Puddlemere. So many of us are newer to the team, though thankfully we're not expecting any shake ups there for next season."
