"I'm sure they are plenty of your teammates around. The bar is very lively." Mark agreed, looking between the two women. Merlin, Jenn had no issues getting right to the heart of things she considered trouble. Then again, Montrose star chaser having drinks with Puddlemere's keeper and captain could serve for a very messy headline. He liked Gen and her talent and didn't want her to jeopardize that position.
"Puddlemere tends to stick to groups." The reserve keeper explained. "Usually management will go out together - sometimes Oliver will go with them - and the reserves go out together,"
"You can come with us, Alex." Jenn rolled her eyes. "You don't have to stick together."
"Yeah but we're very, erm, organized." That was an understatement. Puddlemere in many ways operated more like a corporation than a sports team. They were easily the most heavily and aggressively marketed team in the League's history, and their reputation for being incredibly in control of not only their brand's image but their players image was completely based on fact. One only had to interact with even a low level player to see the incredible amount of influence the team had on their product's life.
"Nothing wrong with that," Jenn replied, chewing thoughtfully on the end of the martini olive stick. "It's a part of our continued success." Alex, shrugged his shoulders and went back to drinking his ale.
"Do Montrose often go out together?" Mark prompted.
