He'd been so determined to focus on the snitch-- pointedly not paying attention to the score, to Wood, to Krum-- that he almost missed that stunt they pulled.
Was he serious? That was one hell of a risky move, not that Ter was about to let himself be deterred from his original goal, eager to seize the opportunity to scout the skies out again only to spot it, glistening in the sunlight up high above them. Almost as soon as he'd neared it, however, Viktor was right on his tail, Ter grunting as he leaned into his broom to somehow increase his speed.
Of course, that was when the snitch decided to return to the stadium, evidently having caught onto the fact that it was far too visible, which Ter wasn't thrilled about, if only because the match was getting more intense by the second, and the last thing they needed was for another bludger incident like Viktor's. Why he hadn't just decided to call for a time-out so he could get a replacement was beyond him.
