Re: Blaise+Kit+Astoria
Had he read her mind? Or was she just far more expressive than she normally was? Either way, she was relieved at his explanation. So, Kit had passed the initial test of who Blaise would approve of for her - oh, she knew that wasn't exactly what the list was all about, but she highly doubted Blaise would put anyone on it that he hadn't vetted enough to approve of for her. "So it seems," she agreed about Kit being good at pretending. The question was, what was he pretending? Which feelings were his real feelings?
At the question, Astoria bit her lower lip and gave a short, mute nod. Yes, she really liked Kit. Whatever that meant, she had no idea, as everything was one big confusing mess, but she did enjoy his company, and whenever she would get a message from him, she couldn't help but smile, and when she knew she would be seeing him, she always looked forward to it and took extra care with her appearance. So yes, she liked him, as confusing and incomprehensible as that was to her. "I'm not concerned about his reputation," she pointed out softly, giving a small shake of her head.
"I really should be going, though. Perhaps you can convince Callie to rejoin the party once I'm gone." Her smile had turned sad, but there was no way around that. Things were going to be difficult, probably for a while yet, but she did really hope that she and Callie could be friends again.
