Re: Draco + Daphne
Draco’s smile warmed the instant he knew who he was sitting next to. He had just been asking about her, he was happy to see that she had in fact attended. “Just the woman I had been hoping to run into, you’re as gorgeous as ever.” There was no hesitation as he scooted his chair closer, before leaning in to press a kiss to the corner of her lips.
“I haven’t seen our hostess since I watched her slip away with your sister, though she did send me back once to change. Jeans aren’t appropriate for this type of party.” Draco gave a playful eyeroll, with shaking his head a little. Draco had learned over the years how to handle Blaise’s little sister, that was by humoring her with the small things. Seeing Daphne in her dress had him thankful she had sent him back, he would have looked ridiculous next to her.
“This housewarming is technically for everyone, they’ve been living in the city all winter.” Draco’s eyes lifted to glance at the crowd, looking for a housemate. He didn’t see any immediately and let his eyes settle back on Daphne’s. “I believe it’s for all of us, though if my bedroom only gets a christening if it’s for me only?” He gave her a playful smile, “Then this is for me only. “ Draco was certain that it was just an excuse though, Calypso had just wanted to throw a party now that she had broken up with the Weasley girl. Draco had thought it a fantastic idea since it meant that not a single Weasley would be found at the party.
“I did have a question, and I believe I’m a bit late asking,” It had been a bit since their first date. He had meant to call but the shop had really taken off, his mother was doing fantastic moving the pieces. When Draco ran into Astoria at the bar earlier in the night, he had realized just how long it had been. He really owed her an apology for that one. “Would you be up for another date? I have an idea, it’s a day thing though…” He knew the full moon was on the 10th, he was hoping to take her out though on the weekend, after he was done being furry. He was fairly certain though if he were to take her upstairs tonight, he would be safe from having a slip up. Sure, it was close to the full moon, but he thought he was safe.
