Re: Calypso+Kit+Astoria
Calypso laughed softly at his words, shaking her head. “We snogged once tonight, I’m sure it’s fine.” She always figured that if it were not fine, she would just explain and people would understand. Though Callie had never really tried to explain the relationship she had with Kit. She had tried once with Blaise and ended on, ‘he’s Kit’ or something like that. Blaise had seemed to understand, though a few of the comments he tended to make made her wonder if Blaise assumed that Kit was gay or something. She had never poked too much at that.
“She could be just a good girl.” Callie pointed out, “Respectful of herself. Not everyone tries to kiss on the first few dates and things.” At least… She had heard that. Callie had always been a girl that kissed on the first date. Though she knew that not everyone had been raised by Oya and to see sex and physical affection as a way to have leverage against someone, more than about feelings and love. It was always about getting someone hooked. “She is very pretty, you’ll have to tell me how that goes. I’m sure if I talked to Blaise, he could let it slip to the birdie.” Calypso was doing her best to ignore the fact that she had slipped up and said there was a new birdie. She knew Kit could be trusted but that secret was one that was a bit too large for her to share and had nothing to do with her in any way.
Calypso fell into old habits as they went about the dance floor. She pressed close at all the right moments, laughing and smiling as he danced her around the floor. It never once crossed her mind how they would come off from across the room, the fact that they clearly radiated the fact that this wasn’t the first time they had danced together. It was almost like watching a couple that had been together for ages moving across the floor, each was able to match the other’s moves as they moved flawlessly and beautifully across the floor.
When she felt his lips near her ear, she gave just the barest of nods so that he’d know she was agreeing. His next words though had emerald eyes going larger, so that was where Astoria had been. She felt her heart sink just a bit, she had been worrying all seeing Astoria and wanting to see the other woman. She had wanted to reach out, apologize, talk to her.. She had been so worried to invite her to the party… She had replied, said she would come but it hadn’t given her a hint to Astoria’s head space about that night. Since Kit knew her far too well, Callie made sure to keep her face hidden by keeping her cheek to his, whispering back to him. “It still could easily have been a date. Flukes do happen.” Though when she had spoken to Blaise that morning… He’d confirmed that Astoria liked women, though he hadn’t said if it was just women. Callie turned her head to press a kiss to Kit’s cheek then, she wanted to tell him that she wouldn’t get in the way but she knew he’d protest. She knew Kit well enough to know that he put everyone else before him. “Besides, I’m sure whatever happened with me was just… A fluke. A one night stand. Besides, I know for a fact she's a good girl." She gave Kit a playful smile then, now that she was able to control the look of surprise on her face.
