Calypso+Kit+Astoria
Calypso had loved decorating and getting ready for this party. It was a way to blow off steam after the miserable break-up with Ginny, she was also using it as an excuse to show off her new hair. She had been sick of her long waves and decided to chop off and let her natural curls do whatever they wanted. Kit’s stylist had done a fantastic job and she couldn’t have been happier.
An added benefit to the new hairstyle was that her new dress looked fabulous. The revealing back could be seen without anything obstructing the view. The heels she had paired with it just helped her silhouette and tied the whole thing together. Calypso had not seen Astoria since their one night stand, though she hated thinking of it like that. She hoped that it wasn’t just a one night stand but she had no idea where Astoria’s head was at. She had seemed happy enough to accept the invitation to come, Calypso just didn’t know if it was as a friend or as something more. Just in case Astoria was in the just friends mindset… Well, Calypso had tried to look her best. She wanted to catch the other woman’s eye, though she had not said so out loud.
Always one to make an entrance, Calypso showed up in the ballroom a half hour after the party had started. Her bright eyes searched the crowd for Astoria, though there were too many people for her to be able to accurately judge. One person did stand out however, Kit. Her smile was warm and genuine, he had helped her out a lot without asking her too many probing questions. She made her way over to him, and since there was no jealous girlfriend anymore to have to worry about, she threw her arms around his neck and stole a kiss that definitely looked as though they were dating.
She gave a joyful laugh as she broke the kiss, she was buzzing with excitement. “Doesn’t the house look beautiful? I was thinking skinny dipping in the pool later is a must… I think Blaise would rather I wait though until we don’t’ have quite so many guests hanging around.”
