Emilia leaned closer to Tate, loving the feel of his breath on her skin and oddly enough that she had misunderstood his failed attempt at a joke. She closed her eyes and leaned into his touch. She smiled and nuzzled her nose against his cheek, reassured by his assurance that he wouldn’t change anything about her. If she just turned her head a little more, she could kiss him, something she was fully intent on, when Tate’s words and her intentions were cut short by a very familiar voice. “Brace for impact,” she whispered to Tate, and brushed a kiss to his lips before she went to greet Wishes.
There was no hesitation when she put her arms around Wishes’ neck. “You are a lifesave, Wishes,” she murmured and leaned back to smile at him. “Come meet Tate.” Leading him fully into the living room she smiled at Tate. “Tate, I’d like you to meet Aloysius Darling.” Was it big that she was introducing Tate to Wishes? Of course it was, but it was so different from the idea of introducing Tate to Benjamin. If Wishes hadn’t disappeared from their lives, Emilia had a feeling that he would have been aware of her polyamorous lifestyle in a way her serial monogamous brother could never truly understand.
