Emilia was a lovely woman.. and David kept reminding himself of that - that she wasn't a girl even though she was probably the same age as his daughter. Age to him, really wasn't anything but a number. Plus she seemed to like him, having accepted his invitation. He stayed close but not too close, though he could smell her perfume when he'd held the chair out for her.
"Of course." He smiled and leaned on the table once seated, remembering her drink order. One of the things that he liked about the Leaky was that there was always Glenfidditch... he hoped they had it here too. No matter, the company was better than the drink in any case.
"You seem to have survived and I'm very glad of it." Something told David that Emilia could handle just about anything that the day would throw at her. Though he hoped to be a surprising moment during the evening. "I'm afraid my day was much less eventful. Being retired does that to you. Though I did find a guitar I've had my eye on."
