David was right on time. All those years of synching his watch up to whatever mission he was on trained him that way. It was engrained. But he wasn't very likely to be late for his drink with Emilia anyways. She seemed very nice and every once in a while would creep into his thoughts.
He didn't rightly know what Hannah would think of this, but then they weren't exactly speaking, and he was still banned from the Leaky and waiting to hear from her. David was his own man as well, a widower and he would often get lonely. His dates after Fiona had passed never went beyond a second or third because he'd be put out in the field again. It wasn't until he was retired that an older man such as himself felt free to maybe pursue a date here or there.
So David arrived at Blind Spot, dressed in his grey cashmere and black trousers. Not formal, yet not casual either and glanced about the room until he'd seen a pretty blonde in black and white. Striding over he gave a lopsided smile and said hello in his usual gravelly tone. "I hope I haven't kept you waiting long."
